Tots R Us Early Learning LLC. is a childcare center and preschool program. Our preschool program is state-funded under the preschool expansion grant, serving parents and families seeking quality early education for children aged 18 months through 12 years. Our mission is to provide a nurturing and educational environment that supports the development and growth of every child.
Our journey began on August 2, 2020, with the opening of our childcare center. Additionally, we have a home-based program that has been in operation since September 2005. Over the years, we have built a reputation for excellence and dedication to early childhood education. Our home-based program is rated Level 5 in the Maryland EXCELS program and is fully accredited, while our center is rated Level 4 and is in the process of becoming accredited.
We are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that fosters equal learning opportunities for all children. As a state-funded preschool program under the expansion grant, we ensure that families have access to the necessary resources and support. We do not discriminate based on race, color, creed, disability, special healthcare needs, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, ancestry, political beliefs, marital status, family size, or public assistance status. Every child should have the same learning opportunities and experiences, and we modify our curriculum to ensure participation for all.

My name is Alicia Pugh, and my passion for childcare began as a teenager helping my mother run her childcare business. Starting with just a high school diploma in 2003, I faced numerous challenges and obstacles, but my dedication and perseverance led me to achieve great success. I earned an Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education, which laid the foundation for building my brand. Subsequently, I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, which empowered me to grow my business into a thriving and profitable venture.
In 2023, recognizing the importance of continuous improvement and excellence in early childhood education, we joined the state preschool program under the expansion grant. To further my expertise, I pursued a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Elementary Education. My journey from a home-based program to a center-based operation has been driven by a commitment to providing the highest quality care and education for young children.
Dominique Pugh leads our program with dedication and a passion for early childhood education. His commitment to providing a nurturing and high-quality learning environment ensures that our center maintains the highest standards of care and education.
Ahquasia Grooms supports our program as the Assistant Director. Her commitment to excellence and her collaborative approach help create a nurturing and effective learning environment for all children.
